I’m SeMi Kwon, the founder and owner of temitton™.
I’ve dedicated my life to the violin—studying at arts high school, university, and graduate school in Korea. Over the years, I’ve performed with orchestras and music groups, and for the past 18 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching violin to countless students, sharing in their growth and musical journeys.

I believe in seeing the big picture first.
When I buy something, I always read the manual. When I start a book, I begin with the table of contents. And when I study, I try to grasp the overall structure before diving into the details. Yes, I love roadmaps.

Life is unpredictable, but when it comes to learning something new, I believe in following the paths paved by those who came before us. Sure, we may wander off track or feel exhausted at times, but when the destination is clear, we can always find the strength to continue.

That’s why I designed my lesson book to be simple and clear, helping learners see exactly where they’re headed and what they’re mastering.

Violin can sometimes feel intimidating, even distant, because of its reputation as a challenging instrument. I’ve spent years wondering:
How can I make learning the violin less daunting and more approachable for everyone?

The result is a lesson book that includes play-along tracks and accompaniments, designed to keep learners motivated and prevent burnout. My goal is to make your violin journey as enjoyable and sustainable as possible.

I’m also fascinated by neuroscience.
Did you know that consistent exposure to accurate pitches can help even tone-deaf individuals develop their sense of pitch?
(Research shows that pitch recognition is closely tied to the brain’s learning capacity and can improve through regular auditory training.)

With this in mind, I developed the Left-Hand Finger Guide Sticker. It’s meticulously designed to provide clear reference points for accurate intonation. But the guide is just the start!
Each time you place your finger and draw the bow, I encourage you to sing the pitch in your head and think about the note’s name.
