Practice Day 1: Let's Break Down "Christmas Time is Here"

Hey everyone!

Hope you all got the sheet music from yesterday and have it printed out!

I know, looking at the whole song can feel a little heavy and make you think, "There's no way I can do all of this!" But seriously, don't sweat it. If you look closer, the music has a ton of repeated patterns. Once you take out all the repeats, you're actually only dealing with 8 different musical phrases.

Over the next four days, we're going to tackle these 8 phrases nice and slow. We'll work on more than just the notes—we'll also focus on getting your left hand in the right position and practicing the best way to move between strings (what we call "string crossing").
